It was reported that the helicopter crashed close to Talkeetna, Alaska. Alaska Department of Public Safety was in charge of the operations of the Eurocopter. Three people died during the incident, a stranded snowmobiler, an Alaska state trooper who was observing flight operations, and the pilot. The eventual impact onto the ground destroyed the plane.
