I once reviewed an essay of my colleague who had requested me to assess if she had followed the instructions and writing guidelines. What I loved about the essay is that it did not deviate from the main topic, had a good flow, and paragraphs were well aligned. However, I noted some issues. For instance, the paper did not have a running head as the APA format was required, the references were also outdated, and the in text citations were not done correctly. I thoroughly reviewed the work and noted down the areas where she had done well and where she needed improvement. Later, I approached her and we went through what I had noted.
