Theories of SalvationChristian understandings about salivation are linked to the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. Soteriology is a Greek term used to refer to a branch under theology which deals with the basis and nature of salvation. Soteriology can also be referred to as theories of the atonement. Some theories suggest that salvation should be seen us victory over sin and death while others insist that salvation is the act of forgiveness of sins.
