IntroductionEven though there is a debate on who was the first European to visit America, Christopher Columbus remains the official first European to visit the continent. The visit was with other voyagers and was with the effort to discover the route from Europe to Asia. The tag given to America during that time was the New World, while Europe was the Old World.
