I must confess that before this course I had a different understanding of criminal profiling. I believed that profiling is an art rather than an exact science and that it was a suitable technique of tracking and arresting criminals. This opinion was informed mainly by some TV shows such as the Blacklist; Criminal Minds Suspect Behavior as well as Criminal Minds. These shows present criminal profiling as a means that laws enforcement officers use to arrest criminals. Although the shows slightly try to show that profiling is wrong, they fail to show that it is incorrect.
