A text to art connections list. Similar to the dictionary, this should be 4 separate paragraphs.(They can take the form of a numbered list; paragraphs do not have to be connected to each other).Each paragraph should connect one text weve read over the course of the semester to one piece ofart/film/music/TV/News etc. that interests you. For example, maybe theres a connection to be made between your least favoritenovel of the semester and your least favorite song on the radio. Try to push yourself to makenon-obvious associations. For example, dont connect the book Carrie to the movie adaptation ofCarrie.

Both the novel To Kill a Mockingbird and the film Bright are similar in that they tackle the problem of racism in the society. They use the same approach of utilizing characters of mixed races. In the novel, Atticus Finch is appointed by Judge Taylor to defend Tom Robinson who was accused of raping a young white woman, Mayella Ewell. Although Tom was a black man, Atticus still went ahead to represent him in court against the expectations of the white society they lived in.
