American History Los Angeles Riots Introduction The Los Angeles Riots can be rooted back from the tension which was substantially built by the actions of the LAPD against the African Americans of the region. They were highly highlighted in the year 1991, after a member of the public recorded police from the LAPD beating a motorist by the name Rodney King.
