Rhetorical Analysis (Project 3) Draft Workshop Directions:1) Has the writer introduced the project? 2) Has the writer provided context about the issue that informs the project? 3) Has the writer included a thesis statement? Does it clearly communicate that the project is successful in persuasion because of ethos, pathos, or logos? 4) Has the writer identified the audience for the project? 5) Has the writer included a substantial rhetorical analysis of: a. Pathosb. Ethosc. Logos 6) Has the writer discussed all the different elements of the project for ethos, pathos, and logos, and has the writer connected that discussion to the thesis statement? 7) Has the writer used rhetorical language, such as claims, warrants, evidence, reasons etc.? 8) Can it be improved in any way? Where is further explanation or analysis needed? 9) Analyze the structure of the paragraphs/sentences/ideas. Are the points arranged logically? Is there repetition? Is pathos/ethos/logos scattered? Are there smooth transitions from idea to idea?
