Answer

Executive SummaryThe main aim of this study is to develop a rainfall-runoff model which utilizes HEC-HMS and also to assess bridge constructions effects in hydraulic properties of the flow with the aid of HEC-RAS. In this study, the assessment is on the effects of constructing the bridge across the South Fork San Joaquin River which is found in Sierra Nevada, California. The storm event is simulated by a runoff model for 2-year, 10-year, 25-year, 50-year, 100-year and 500-year based on the frequency storm precipitation data from NOAA. HEC-RAS was used to assess the effects of constructing the bridge on 100-year flow storm event. The highest discharge for 100-year storm event at the outlet was 38000 CFS as per the HEC-HMS model. This was used to represent the flow of the river in a 100-year...
