INSTRUCTIONS:You are an Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), and have travelled to a remote village in South America. You have the resources to perform one surgery on one of the following patients. In 600-800 words, explain which patient you would choose and why. Again, only choose ONE patient to discuss. I want you to explain to me why YOUR patient is most deserving. The best answer offers a comparison among the other patients. IMPORTANT!!You must demonstrate that you have used a minimum of 3 resources for the following:a) To show an understanding of the disease. (I don't need a long explanation. I want to know that YOU have an idea of what you are talking about)b) To show an understanding of the treatment (I don't need a long explanation. I want to know that YOU have an idea of what you are talking about)c) To explain your reasoning behind your choice (This part should be 90-95% of your assignment)I am most interested in your argumentation so don't spend a lot of time explaining the disease or the treatment. One or two lines for each is enough. I WANT TO SEE YOU ARGUE YOUR POSITION. THAT is the most important. At the end of your written assignment, I want you to cite your resources using MLA format. Refer to the Powerpoint Presentation in Week 2 The Joys of MLA.PATIENTS:1) 6 year old male born with a Grade 3 heart murmur. He is otherwise healthy2) 15 year old female with Grade 1 heart murmur but also has kidney problems and is blind. She is an only child and both parents are devoted to looking after her. 3) 37 year old male with a current history of diabetes and past history of alcohol abuse, which caused his heart problem. He is the only caretaker for his 2 children. Since his children were born, he has given up the alcohol and has devoted his life to caring for them 4) 65 year old female with a history of heart problems. She has been transported to hospital many times for repeated heart attacks, which uses up a lot of the resources of the community. She is a local shop owner and the majority of the communitys resources come from her shop. She also runs the local orphanage. She is a very important member of the community.
