Black Lives Matter movement was formed in 2013 by the three Community organizers who came up with it, namely, Alicia, Patrisse, and Opal. The discussion will discuss how social media helps in advancing, expanding, and supporting this social movement. The prime advantages that social media offered to the Black Lives Matter movement included resource-mobilization, message framing, and coalition-building (Mundt, 2018).
