The Enigma machine was a game-changer in the Second World War. However, it had various things that made it very weak. One of the things that brought out the weaknesses is human error. Human error in this case involved a case where the officials and technicians working in the machine, used the same codes. These are codes that for instance would easily be deciphered by the enemy, because of the repetition. The other thing on weakness is the security in the notebooks that were used to set the codes(Chang et al.). This was something that touched operations in the German Army. The issue of notebooks was so serious to an extent that many of the allies would get the notebook prior to an official launch of a code.
