Ableism can be defined as a discriminatory attitude and practice towards people living with disabilities (PBS NewsHour, 2015). Attitude and practices are propagated by people who believe that people with disabilities are lesser than those who are not disabled. The paper will make a critical analysis of the segregation that is experienced in the state of Georgia on children living with disabilities as shown in the PBS segment. The rationale by the State of Georgia to segregate some children living with disabilities is that they consider these children to be difficult to deal with (PBS NewsHour, 2015).
