The Embalming Process Upon injecting the first gallon, she sees that the abdomen is distended and there is no fluid in the arms and legs, Ellie should insert tubes inside the cadaver and attached to machines which then pumps the gallons of fluid throughout the body through the jugular vein in the neck and or through the femoral vein which is found in the leg. After that, she should let the body lie so that the fluid could distribute to other parts of the body. Then the natural fluids that were inside the body should be drained out of the body through the femoral artery or through the carotid artery in the neck (Golledge, 2019).
