Restorative Art

Instructions

As our course comes to a close please share your thoughts and opinions about the material presented.  What lessons will you take form this course?  What things do you disagree with?  Did you find this material relevant? Answer the discussion bored question part first then respond to two other people. First person reply to First off I must say Restorative Arts has been more difficult than I thought it would be. I struggled in anatomy so that did not help me any at all. Remembering the names of every bone, muscle, fold, and mark on the face is not easy for me. Other than that I really enjoyed the class. I wouldn't say I disagree with anything. I do think color theory is a bit different in real life than in a book. Honestly skin tones can be much more complicated than one thinks. I am not the biggest fan of tissue building but I do think it is necessary in some cases. I find pretty much all the material we went over relevant. I may one day need to rebuild a face, and whether it be a part of it or the whole thing I now know what steps to take. I know what sutures to use, and how to do them. I am pleasantly surprised about how much I learned through this course.Second person to Reply to I wasnt too sure what I would think about this class, but I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed taking it.  I have learned a lot and have done some interesting things, such as making a face using clay and a plastic skull.  This was the most challenging thing I did this semester and it was tough to do but I, overall, enjoyed working on the armature.  I am almost done with the face and am going to paint it face and use a wig to finish it.  A lot of the things we learned I will take from this and use it in the future, especially when Im embalming a body.  Learning about sutures was tricky and difficult and I definitely need more time training in it as well.  I really liked taking this class and would recommend it to anyone because you not only learn a lot, but you have fun while doing it.

Restoration requirements can range from discoloration and small flaws to the urgefor post-mortem rebuildingsurgery, like facial healing. I have also learned how to model the faces using plastics. Another lesson is that Unlike embalming, which (momentarily) retains and sterilizes the bodies, or funeral instruction, which pays attention to the preparation and organization of commemorations, the restorative arts mainly concerned with artistic movement principles. From the Anatomy concept, I have learned several types of bone...
