Instructions
Students will complete a formal grant application from a funding agency applying all of the funding agencys required criteria. Students will complete the grant application for the nonprofit agency and program initiative for which they authored the letter of inquiry. Students must familiarize themselves with the programmatic needs and operations of the chosen nonprofit agency to complete the application. In addition, students must research the application criteria for the selected funding agency.There are countless funding agencies that fund/ support programs/initiatives that span the imagination. Each student needs to research funding agencies and select an agency with goals and priorities consistent with the program initiative the student selected for the Letter of Inquiry.Different agencies have different requirements as it relates to applying for funds. Students must familiarize themselves with the appropriate criteria and complete the Grant Proposal per the content in Chapter 10 of the textbook and the Funding Agency's requirements.Attached is a template of a Grant Proposal, however, be advised this only represents one example and the Funding Agency you select may have different criteria which could potentially be more intensive and expansive than the template provide as an example.Students will incorporate the components of a Grant Proposal as annotated in Chapter 10 of the textbook in their Grant Proposal.The components include:-Abstract/Executive Summary-Literature Review-Needs/Problem Statement-Goals and Objectives-Program Design/Methods/Strategies-Evaluation Plan-Organizational Information-Program Budget-Other Funding SustainabilityIn accordance with the Grant Proposal template provided, students can incorporate the components/sections of a Grant Writing Proposal discussed in Chapter 10 by utilizing sub-headings under the provided Headings:-Abstract/Executive Summary can be captured under the Heading (Proposal Summary)-Organizational Information can be captured under the Heading: (Organizational Description and History)-Literature Review and Needs/Problem Statement can be captured under the Heading (Background) -Goals and Objectives, Program Design/Methodology/Strategies, and Evaluation Plan can captured under the Heading (Project Description)-Program Budget and Other Funding/Sustainability can be captured under the Heading (Project Timeline/Budget Timeline)
