NeuroplasticityNeuroplasticity primarily involves two processes which are rerouting and sprouting. Sprouting is the development or creation of new neural connections or connections between nerve cells while rerouting entails the creation of an alternative and complementary neural pathway through deletion of damaged neurons (Costandi, 2016). Neuroplasticity is thus capable of forming a new pathway that connects active neurons. Contrary to traditional widespread belief, I believe it is possible to regenerate neurons.
