Fishermans War 11/24In 1999, an American navy jet dropped a bomb that hit an unintended target which ended killing one civilian who was a security guard. This move sparked national and diaspora peaceful protests from the local people who called for the U.S navy to end the bombing activities in the target range, to withdraw its troops from the area and return the land to the local people. The protestors occupied the target range for more than a year until the US national marshals forcefully evicted them. Massive numbers of protestors were experienced some saying that the numbers went up to 150000.
