Literature Review for Research Paper
Instructions
Write a Literature Review for research paper. See attachment for topic, title, and thesis. The purpose of the literature review is to provide your readers with sufficient background and understanding of your research topic. The literature review does not answer the research question, but describes previously published research related to your topic. The review will often provide the reader with the historical and social context for your research, stopping just short of providing the data to test your hypotheses. The literature review acknowledges what others have said about your topic. This chapter will have the greatest number of citations and your focus should be on peer-reviewed journals and books. This chapter also includes a description of the theoretical or conceptual framework on which your research is based.
