Jason is a 32 year old male who was referred by the police department to receive a psychological evaluation. According to the police report, Jason and his wife experienced a horrific tragedy two months earlier. A private plane had crashed into their home, igniting an immediate fire. Stunned, Jason and his wife were able to grab their young daughter from her bedroom and got safely outside the home. Without warning, their daughter suddenly ran back inside the now burning house to rescue a pet. Jason ran in after her, but was unable to locate her amidst the smoke and fire. After a missing person report was filed with the police, Jason was recognized in a town forty miles away. He had scars and scabs on his arms and his face. He was living in a motel and identified himself as Ray. "Ray" was known to be a newcomer to town who drank whiskey nightly in the local tavern. He was brought into the police station for questioning, and upon seeing Rosa, suddenly began sobbing, remembering the tragedy.1.
