What is the effect of different environment plant species on the transpiration rate in plants?AbstractThe experiment was done to compare the rates of transpiration of plants from different environments. Plants were obtained from a dry environment, moderately humid, and extremely humid environments. These plants included the coffee, beans, and cactus.A potometer was used to determine the transpiration rates. The experiment was done under conditions such as darkness, sunlight, shade and in the presence of a fan which was positioned at the front of a twig during sunlight. The rate of bubbles being traveling as the water was being pulled by the plant was recorded and compared among the three plants. The results were discussed and presented in a table form.
