IntroductionFollowing the wake of antibiotic resistance, advanced practice registered nurses (APRN) should delve deeper into antibiotic use and prescription patterns. Antibiotics are very important when it comes to bug eradication that threatens to cause severe infections. In my opinion, the knowledge of antibiotics, their mechanism of action, use, and the dosage is primary to every prescriber. I also have the view that antibiotics should be reserved for life-threatening bacterial infections to avoid misuse.
