Various differences can be noted when comparing the accounts of creation as described in Genesis and Ovids metamorphoses. The first difference is that in metamorphoses, Ovid focuses on polytheistic beliefs by focusing on multiple gods such as Helios, Jupiter, and Saturn. Genesis, on the other hand, emphasizes on one central Supreme Being, God the creator. Besides, God is described as a figure of command in Genesis, whereas the gods presented in Ovids are imaginative figures. Ovid relates metamorphoses to Greek mythology, and it also describes that the earth and heaven were created out of chaos.
