The book of Revelation was written by John when he was sent to exile in Patmos. Revelation is a prophetic book that reveals the end times and the Lords Day. In the Old Testament and some of the New Testament books, some of the prophets referred to the day of Jesus Christs return as the Lords Day or the day of Christ. At the beginning of the book of Revelation, John notes that he was shown a 'vision of the Lord's day (Bailey, 2015). According to John, there are things which ought to be accomplished before the day of the Lord, and these occurrences are referred to as the end times happenings.
