Trifles is a play that was written by Susan Glaspell in 1916 and mainly encompasses investigation on the murder of Mr. Wright. The play takes place in Mr. Wrights house and begins with three men entering the abandoned house followed by two women (Ben-Zvi 143). The men who visit the house include Mr. Wrights neighbor, Mr. Hale and the county attorney while the women include Mrs. Hales and Mrs. Peters. The men enter the house intending to investigate the murder of Mr. Wright while the womens goal is to collect a few personal effects that Mrs. Wright may need in prison (Angel 779). Mrs. Wright had been suspected to have committed the crime and put in prison. Mrs. Wright had explained to Mr. Hales a day before that her husband was killed by someone when they were sleeping which raised suspicio...
