Geological background on Arzanah fieldPrakla Seismos AG carried out a shallow water seismic reflection survey, which was supported by data from 37 wells, to collect data on the geological background of the field. The field has 24 lines covering the field and the lines are majorly spread south. Low porosity was noted in D4 and D5 with varied thickness in particular wells. The differences in thickness showcase the wells heterogeneities. Moreover, the variations in thickness also suggest variations in porosity properties. This is depended on the type of the rock. D3, for example is different from AZ12 since D3 has a thick porous layer unlike the AZ12. In this case, poor mud rudstone exists in D3. Arab D does not have an anhydrate which made it difficult to identify during preliminary surveys....
