I don't expect you to be an expert on film terminology for this (though the Corrigan reading will help with this a bit), but describe what you see happening in the scene. Who or what is central in the frame? What colors are visible? Is the scene well-lit or dark? Is there music, noise, dialogue, or silence? How do these factors reflect the broader themes or ideas in the film? What are the broader themes or ideas of the film at this point? Finally, how well do these two different texts approach the issue of migration? How do these different forms (Novel, documentary film) succeed at evaluating these experiences?
