The philosopher Aristotle in his Nicomachean ethics tries to discover what the supreme good is for a human being. That is, the best way to live our lives and give it meaning. We often hope that circumstances will favor and give us the kind of happiness we desire from family, spouses, house, or winning a jackpot. However, Aristotle had a different perception of happiness, he agrees that some good fortunes are necessary to make us happy but there is more than that to attain true happiness. Having genuinely happy life necessitates the fulfillment of a lot of circumstances both mental and physical wellbeing (Lobel, 2017).
