In your Lesson One Activity, you'll create a brochure: "Earths Unique Qualities in a Universe Full of Planets."Use reputable internet sources such as nasa.gov, space.com, and university astronomy pages to research the following questions.  Address the following topics:How could the impacts (collisions) of other objects with the earth explain the Earths tilt, precession, and nutation? What object in the solar system is closest to the solar system barycenter? Why?How many stars are in our galaxy? How many planets have been discovered so far by the Kepler and K2 projects? (NASAs website probably has the most up-to-date information on this topic.)Research and report on three exoplanets discovered by the Kepler and K2 missions. Be sure to include:The key features that make each planet unique.Describe the ways each planet is similar to Earth. If they are not at all similar to Earth, are they have similar to any other planets in our solar system?Decide if you think people could live on each planet. Why or why not?Cite your sources for images and information.Combine your findings into an attractive brochure with a creative title. Examples of editing programs you can use include Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Lucidpress, and Smore.  Submit your brochure for grading.

Answer

A brochure of the unique qualities of earthHow could the impacts (collisions) of other objects with the earth explain the Earths tilt, precession, and nutation? The impact of falling objects on planets has been explained as the main reason why most of the planets in the solar system appear to be tilted in their observable view. One notable planet with almost zero angle in relation to the axis is Uranus. The planet almost orbits on its side. The earth is not an exception. Its axis appears to be tilted at 23.44. this tilting is mostly attributed to the collision theory which states that the solar system originated from the collision of different objects which exploded forming the stars, sun, planets and other objects(Solar System Exploration: NASA Science, 2018).What object in the solar syste...
