I will give you 6 people to "interview" or ask specific questions and you have to find a theme that relates to some of the people and tie it to Psychology of Emerging Adulthood. 4-pages, double-spaced Attach notes to backInclude a title (or points off) Name on separate last page (to avoid grader bias) (points off if do not follow directions) During the last 6 months there have probably been situations that have bothered you or upset you in some way for a period of time. Id like for you to tell me about these situations. 1. What has caused you stress? How stressful was this event? 2. What did you do about it? 3. Were you satisfied with the outcome? 4. She said, I just dont know how to strike a balance. I feel guilty Im not spending enough time with my kids. I feel like Im not able to give 100% at work either... The spillover model posits that attitudes and behavior from the work domain can influence attitudes and behavior in the family domain, and vice versa, for both positive and negative attitudes and behaviors (Grzywacz & Marks, 2000). In the future, I would propose a study to understand why some people experience spillover, while others experience role strain. Based on the interviews, I hypothesize that individuals with little social support are more likely to experience role strain than individuals with a lot of social support. To test this, I would interview middle- aged participants and assess how much social support they are receiving (give example), then assess how much strain they are experiencing at work and at home with questionnaires (give example).*** Attached will be the same grading instructions and then the 6 people who's names, age, and occupation you need to use.
