Assignment:In this assignment you will write a 1-2 page review of one of your fellow students Essay Background Assignment. The goal of a peer review is to provide constructive feedback to help the author to improve their work. Just saying good job! doesnt help the author much. Your review will be graded on the quality of its constructive feedback (i.e. how much help it gives to the author). The key here is constructive criticism. You need to be able to point out weaknesses in the authors work as well as strengths, tell them what theyve done well and why, and what they still need to work on and how they might go about improving it.You should start by summarizing the authors main points. This can be a really useful exercise for the author. Sometimes we think weve communicated something clearly when we havent, sometimes its hard to see what weve missed, etc. Reading a summary of our work by someone else can be very beneficial.What additional source from the OSU Library did the author use? Do you think it was a helpful find?After youve summarized the authors main points, look at the questions that the assignment asked them to address (see the instructions). How well have they answered these questions? Are there things theyve missed? Did they make any particularly strong points? Any weak points? Are there things they should re-read or examine again? Next, look at matters of form. How clearly have they communicated their ideas? Have they used evidence effectively?
