Assignment:  According to classic Christian theology in the Catholic tradition, why was Christs Passion and Death the best way for God to redeem mankind?  Please use the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the selections from Aquinas and/or Anselm and/or Leo and/or D-L or other sources that we read in class to answer this question. You may also use the Bible. Do not use any other outside sources without consulting the professor.  You do not need to include every argument. Choose those which seem most interesting or persuasive to you. If a friend asked you, So, according to Catholics why did God redeem us by sending Jesus to die rather than just forgiving us? how would you answer?  Please write a 4-5 page (minimum) paper in essay format.  (double-spaced, 12pt font)  Use Times New Roman 12 pt font double-spaced, with 1 inch margins.  Upload your finished paper to Blackboard and hand in a paper copy. *This paper should have a title.  *The first paragraph should be your introductory paragraph. The last sentence of the first paragraph should be your thesis statement. It should give the main point of your paper. *There should be around 5-6 body paragraphs. Each of these should make one central point. They should be arranged in an order that makes sense.  *Bring the paper to a close with a concluding paragraph. Please use Chicago Style.
