Script Coverage
Instructions
The TV Pilot Coverage assignment is due Monday 2/12 by 5pm. Late submissions will receive grade markdowns. They are to be submitted in proper file submission format, in syllabus, with your name and the assignment in the file name. The script you will be covering is below: Gypsy Pilothttp://www.dailyscript.com/scripts/Gypsy-1.pdf You will be writing in 12 font Times New Roman in a Microsoft Word Document and submitting a two page double-spaced coverage. The first paragraph is to be no more than half a page and will be a synopsis not a beat by beat synopsis of what happened; however, a synopsis of how we followed the character. What did they want, did they achieve it, what were the stakes and conflicts presented. The rest of the assignment is to be an analysis of these story components. Think the tone of a film review, though it will be about the script. Do not watch the episode online and use that for your assignment, you will need to refer to the script in 2-3 places (using page numbers) to cite your claims. You will review the character, their drive/desire, the conflicts, the stakes, the tone. If there are places you felt a story component needed work or you had suggestions, you will also write about that and how it could have been stronger.
