Journal 2In an age where feminism has gained so much ground, one would expect women to freely decide what is best for them. However, this is not always the case basing on my personal experiences. A female friend of mine, Olivia, having passed her high school examinations wanted to pursue a course in electrical engineering but her father would hear none of it. His argument was that she was not cut out for the course as it was more masculine in nature. Olivia had to settle for nursing despite having been accepted to pursue a course in Electrical and Computer engineering at Massachusetts University.
