Social Process TheoriesGenerally, most individuals are influenced by what they learn in their environment. It is for this reason that the social process theories conclude that criminals are brought up in an environment that promotes criminal activities. For instance, if a boy is brought up in a family with violence, there is a high likelihood that the child will be aggressive with his peers in school. Nobody is born with a criminal mentality.
