Chaucer's Canterbury TaleThe character that I would describe as more appealing as described by Chaucer is the physician. The physician is presented to the readers as a man of contrasts. Despite having a huge obsession for gold and being wealthy, he is moderate in terms of the food he eats and the lifestyle he enjoys. It seems that his only obsession is in amassing gold and the is perfect in doing so using the knowledge he possesses. Chaucer portrays him as skillful to the extend of involving his friend and mixing different professions to amass his wealth. This attribute and the fact that he uses humor play an important role in endearing this character to most readers.
