Diversity, inclusion, and social justiceMy understanding of social justice is that it includes respect, equity and care. Social justice is about doing that which fosters respect to others. Moreover, social justice entails actions of care to people who are need of comfort. It is about being concerned with others. Social justice is also about creating an environment where people are treated equitably. Importantly, social justice involves remaining alive to the impact of factors such as race, age, gender, political beliefs, class and family on the lives of people.
