The novel touches on the subject of authoritarian regime and the consequences that are likely to arise with the existence of totalitarianism practices. In hindsight, the novel can be looked upon as a cautionary tale as well as predictor of what could go wrong in high-handedness regimes. As a cautionary tale, the events narrated in the novel center around a dystopia society.
