Part I: IntroductionA social issue in A Clockwork Orange tackles the question of whether free will and outside influences can influence a persons outcome. The main character Alex thinks that people are born evil and need help throughout life to evade being evil. F. Alexander (the writer character in the movie) believes that we are all born with a clean slate and the ability to become good or evil. He also believed that we are corrupted by society and culture (Burgess 2015).
