Comment back on two students comment for each discussion on 13, 14, and 15 Discussion 13Student 1- I would approach this family with other children and other families who have felt or gone through the same situation they are in. Yes to this day, kids are becoming too "Americanized". There are several approaches you can choose to do that will respect their cultural values. The more we learn about other cultures, the more we have an understanding of how their everyday values, life, beliefs are, and an easier understanding can help us help other cultures.Student 2-For me, it is very hard to understand a culture that sees simple things like spending time with your friends as wrong.  My beliefs go to the certain point and I am self-aware that I would not be able to help them.  The best thing I could do is to direct them to another psychotherapist.  I f I treat the patient, the parents would not be happy with the outcome because I would agree with their kid.  Like I said, it would be too hard to understand and agree with that specific culture that it would be unprofessional to treat them.  How can I talk to someone and give him advice that I do not believe in, that I would not be able to do?  I think that this way is the best way the family can get real help and it would be a way to respect their cultural values.  Discussion 14student 1-First and foremost, I believe that the traits should be kept as a control throughout the study. It is highly offensive when you look at the table for "Negroes" and how negative traits are portrayed throughout. You don't see honest, intelligent, artistic, or alert on that table whereas these such positive descriptions are portrayed on the tables. I believe these adjectives were somewhat accurate to each ethnic group. Where they may be quite prevalent in some groups, it is not that the entire ethnic group should be boiled down to that. I like this type of research but only if the adjectives were kept as a control for each study. Only then would it be an accurate comparison with other ethnic groups.Student 2-I have never necessarily agreed with the concepts of stereotypes. As they have the tendency to be sweeping generalizations of a certain ethnic group. Eventually, though they are based of some form of truth within that demographic. That never accurately describes the group it talks about because there are always sects within these particular group that are never defined.Discussion 15Student 1 - Sexual Harassment is prevalent in the workplace because in a way there will always be people who want to be the top dog and take advantages of the other people around them so those people will try to get away with getting things done their way. This is not the only way of sexual harassment. There is the Male and Female type of harassment too and that can just be human nature sometimes and some people want to get intimate at work when they are not supposed to. To my point before so many people engage in these types of behaviors because they are not trained and disciplined in the right way at the workplace and they don't know how to treat others the right way. The working conditions that I think would encourage this would be high-stress jobs and jobs with relaxed atmospheres with not high stress on management. There can be things done to discourage it and one would be to have cameras around every area of the workplace and to also if it does come down to this have each gender or vice versa work separately or together based on the job and the atmosphere around them. This issue at hand would be a mix of both culture and universally because not one culture goes through sexual harassment there are many people who are sexually harassed but they don't really talk about it unless it escalates. student 2- I believe a major part is a definition or lack thereof. Although companies today attempt to educate their employees on sexual harassment unless the punishment or consequence is enforced this type of harassment will continue in the work place. People engage in this behavior in my opinion because of power, their role in the company, their ego. My experience is limited to office conditions so I can only relate to that type of environment, however, sexual harassment is not necessarily limited person to person. Sexual harassment can be in a phone conversation. The offenders are not limited to only men. Women are reported to subject their employees or co-workers to sexual harassment as well. As many companies practice warnings in a tiered sequence such as verbal, written, and final warning I believe a severe reprimand should be applied to the offenders. I do believe sexual harassment is more culture because how you are growing up around this type of behavior as well as what you see and experience is more prevalent culturally. Some cultures deem this behavior as normal.

Involving other children who have had the same experience will go a long way in providing the necessary morale to the affected kids. For example, involving the person who has experienced a certain problem makes the victim benefit from first-hand solution.
