As a general rule, it is natural for the strongest animals to mate with as many sexual partners as they can in order to propagate the species.  Likewise, humans often are sexually attracted to more than one person in a lifetime, and as a result, have multiple sexual partners throughout their lives.  Does this imply that monogamy (one sexually partner for life, which is the traditional interpretation of Judaism, Christianity and Islam or one sexual partner at a time, which is the traditional interpretation of modern Western society) is unnatural, and therefore should not be the moral standard of sexual relationships? Explain your position from a Natural Law perspective. In answering this question, be sure to discuss and defend your understanding of monogamy (as one sexual partner for life or one sexual partner at a time)

Is monogamy unnatural?The general rule of the natural theory states that strongest animals have the access to mating several partners in order to propagate specific species. It is in this same spirit of the natural theory that human beings are always attracted to many sexual partners and even engage in amorous relationships with many people of opposite sex. Practically, both women and men engage in sexual affairs with different partners over their lifetimes (Laslocky, 2013). In fact, the many who try to practice monogamy do not perfectly stick by it and end up cheating in such relationships with side sexual affairs.
