The Brendan Voyage reviewThe portrayal of Brendan's team is one of the most interesting sections of the book. Everycharacter in the second part of the book is distinguished from others to be as easily identified as a person from Robin Hood or King Arthur. They take on a great truth that is almost too beautiful, leaving one wondering whether theyare hearing about real humans or anything from ancient mythology (Severin). If this novel had been a work of literature, it would have been a tribute to the author's creativity and abilities, but any novelist would have struggled to envision the story of fortune, strength, solidarity, ability, courage, tremendous privation, and at moments just plain crazy that unfolds in the story.
