Remember that this paper is all about the why behind the designs of these experiential spaces, and how the culture of the world they are built in affects them. Simply listing out the different attractions and features of each space with no attempt to analyze them will result in a poor grade on the Content/Quality of Research section. Things you may include (but are not limited to): o    How and why each space came to be o    How the culture and society of the location contribute to the spaces design, themes, and individual experiences.o    What elements are similar between the two institutions? Why do you think that is? Why do they do things differently? o    How do these spaces utilize XD elements (those weve talked about or that are found in the readings) to create culturally-specific experiences? o    Who is the target demographic for these experiences, and how does that effect the design?     The following is a list of topics you can choose from to write about in this paper. Please pick one:o    Salina Turda vs. Wunderland Kalkar o    The Palace of the Lost City vs. Dhara Dhevj Resort o    Nihon Minkaen vs. Beamish Museum o    Bhagavad-gita Museum vs. The Creationist Museum o    Seaworld Gold Coast, Australia (Please note this is NOT the same as Seaworld over here in the US!) vs. Ocean Park (Hong Kong) o    Phantasialand (Germany) vs. Happy Valley (Beijing) o    Kfar Kedem (Israel) vs. Norsk Folkemuseum (Norway) o    Jukkasjarvi Ice Hotel vs. Kakslautttanen Arctic Resort     These papers should be 2-3 pages long (not including title page or works cited page). Times New Roman font, 12pt.     100 points total, graded based on the following categories: General Tips for Writing an Analytic Paper    Typically, an analytical paper needs to be making an argument about the content in question, with supporting evidence to back up the claim.  o    Your two textbooks are excellent resources. Use them and cite as appropriate. o    Theories and ideas from other sources can be brought in as long as they are properly cited.    An analytical paper is NOT a reflection paper. This means that it is NOT a summary or simply your own personal opinion on the content.     Generally, these types of paper have a structure of opening paragraph/thesis statement > body/arguments > conclusion/final remarks    They are properly cited in the appropriate format (XD uses Turabian, but any style will be acceptable), with a bibliography at the end of the document. o    5 sources minimum     1 citation per source     Your paragraphs and arguments should flow cohesively, be well articulated, and be easy to read.     Analytical papers are presented in a third-person style.o    Please do not use of words like I or we or us when talking about your argument; it is assumed that anything not attributed to other authors is your own opinion or argument.
