In this film, two things strike me the most, love and social stratification. Social stratification is the social ranking of persons based on their wealth, race, income, education, and power. In this film, this is evident in terms of race. In the first scene, a black woman wears blonde hair, usually regarded as the West's practice. We don't actually see her face in the movie, making a sense that western civilization is deemed superior over all other races. Also, in this scene, Africans are used to smuggle drugs and not any member of other races; this is racial discriminatory as only the blacks engage in unworthy practices; also from the part where corp 633 has to meet her girlfriend in the Californian restaurant for them to make up clearly shown the western culture and norms being stratifie...
