Instructions

. An original written graduation essay describing your professional and personal growth in the program is required for completion of the program. In your essay you will discuss your growth related to each of the six program outcomes linking it to your examples.  Please format as follows:      Title Page with name and term submitted, Proper Grammar and Spelling will be used.     No longer than 4 -5 pages, References and Citations are not necessary     State the outcome and provide a concrete example of how you have applied what you have learned in the program to your clinical practice for each of the six program outcomes.      State clearly which exemplar document or documents you have included in your portfolio that correlate with the examples you provided for meeting the outcomes     Reflect and discuss the growth in your philosophy of nursing from the start of the program to now. Discuss any growth  or change in your personal beliefs or values, how they may have changed as a result of this program, and how you have applied your values in your nursing practice    Please review the rubric so that you understand the evaluation process for your portfolio. RN - BSN Program Outcomes 1.    Analyze data from a comprehensive holistic health assessment of populations, groups, families and individuals across the lifespan in their environment with caring and compassionate behavior.  Example documentation: Health assessment project, Community Assessment, Teaching projects, discussions/ assignments/ papers from courses such as pathophysiology, pharmacology, community health 2.    Incorporate evidence-based research into the design of nursing interventions for populations, groups, families and individuals in their environments.  Example documentation: Community health discussions, assignments, paper, Community assessment, leadership projects, course work from electives or other relevant courses 3.    Apply critical thinking concepts to planning and managing care in the acute and chronic care environments resulting in clear, technically accurate, and specific descriptions of patient conditions and appropriate remediation. Example documentation: Course work and papers from nursing BSN courses 4.    Integrate theory, research, ethical, legal, and professional standards to demonstrate accountability in healthcare leadership decisions. Example documentation: Research discussions, assignments, paper; Legal/ Ethical discussions, assignments, paper; Community and leadership discussions, assignments, paper, projects or presentations from relevant courses 5.    Demonstrate the role of the nurse manager through integrating evolving policies, best practices, and continuous quality improvement efforts to enhance patient outcomes.  Example documentation: Discussions, assignments, paper, and projects from courses such as Informatics, Leadership, Community, or other relevant courses
