Allegory of the caveDoes reality exist? A famous historian known as Plato explored this question 2000 years ago through an audiobook Allegory of the cave. The book's plot starts with the scene of painted prisoners seated in front of a dark wall. These people viewed the shadows being reflected on the blank wall and perceived these shadows as real and express reality. If one of the prisoners gets out and sees the sunshine, he will see the truth now, not the shadows he perceived before; he will be enlightened and perhaps have pity for the rest.
