Introduction to the problem.Over the past thousands of years, infectious diseases have been around us and caused many deaths. One of the most severe diseases that caused significant deaths was smallpox. Smallpox is caused by variola virus, whose origin remains unknown. Historical timeline shows that smallpox spread during the trade between China and Korea in the 6th century. Its spread started in Asia, spread to Africa and later to Europe in the 111th century. The final result in fighting small box is that in 1980, the WHO declared human to be free from smallpox.
