The Wilt Chamberlain ArgumentRobert Nozick was a libertarian as he insisted on a government that kept the society functioning through fair justice. Nozick believed that people are entitled to keep all they own provided they acquired through a legitimate way (Salahuddin 1-2). He did not support John Rawls' theory of justice as in 1974 in the first book he wrote on Wilt Chamberlain Argument. In his argument, he attempted to argue against a distributive justice type of government. Nozick came up with this argument to show the state how to and not to distribute goods. He wants all distribution to be regulated and morally acceptable, thus bringing a just distribution (Salahuddin 5-7).
