Attached is a good article that makes you consider if mission statements are designed to appease the public and display a good public image or if they are used to drive the organization internally. For this week's written assignment, read the attached journal article and then write a 2-3 page paper which you begin by sharing your department's mission statement (if you do not have one, you may share another that you like) and then determine whether or not that statement is practical and if you feel it is meant for external or internal purposes.
