Operation desert stormOperation desert storm refers to the war fought by the United States and the coalition forces to expel Iraqi forces occupying Kuwait (Tucker-Jones, 2014). The United Nations-led a negotiation which led to the ceasefire in the decade long war between Iran and Iraq in August 1988. A fortnight passed after which Saddam Hussein gave a detailed speech of how Kuwait was drilling oil in their shared border.
